Our M is not the same M as anyone else's — and even here, an oversized jumper in M sits nothing like a fitted shirt in M. That is why every piece says how it runs.
Body measurements, not garment measurements
These are the centimetres of your body, not of the finished piece. Ease is already built into the cut, and it differs from one model to the next.

How to measure
Over underwear, with the tape laid flat — neither pulled tight nor left slack. If the tape slides, the number comes out two centimetres short and you only find out at the fitting.
- Bust — at the fullest point, tape parallel to the floor
- Waist — at the narrowest point, usually a few centimetres above the navel
- Hips — at the widest point, across the seat
Between two sizes? For outerwear and knitwear take the smaller one; for trousers and the shirt, the larger. That comes from what gets returned, not from theory.
What “runs loose” and “runs snug” mean
Every piece in the collection carries one of three lines. It is not decoration — it moves our recommendation by a whole size:
- Runs loose — an oversized cut, so we suggest one size below the chart. All three trench coats, the chunky knit, the ribbed jumper and the wide powder pink trousers are cut this way.
- True to the chart — take whatever your measurements gave you.
- Runs snug — we suggest one size up. This applies to the lilac shirt and the mint trousers, because each is fitted in one particular place: the shirt across the shoulders, the trousers through the hip.
Where the recommendations come from
From fittings on nine people of different builds, and from what came back during the first series. The mint trousers were returned most often, always with the same comment: “tight across the hips”. Instead of softening the description, we moved the recommendation up a size and wrote down why.
Disagree with the recommendation? Order two sizes. The return is free and nobody asks for a reason — it costs us less than a parcel that comes back untouched.
